Things are winding down here at Tonbridge. The fourth week is always kinda strange. We are down from 12 to 2 teachers, and we’re holding the fort together with the Course Director, the Director of Studies one Sports Instructor and one House Mistress. We’ve only got 30 kids so we are all staying in the same house and all seems to get on swimmingly. It’s been knackering but fun. I haven’t belly laughed so much in ages. I’ve met some great people here and hope to come back again next year for more of the same and won’t say no to four weeks work.

The trips has been pretty good too: Oxford, The London Eye, Madame Tussauds and the Science Museum. Been shaking my thing at the school discos, it almost felt like an interview for Butlins when we started teaching them the dance to Wigfield’s Saturday Night (yes Sarah, you would be proud!!). Little things have made it easier this time round like having a single room from the start, a staff common room with a pool table, big leather couches and a huuuuuuge TV and we even have a mini kitchen so we can go and have a brew. Plus the school is right on the high street so is easy to pop into town (read: the pub). Time is pretty bendy here though and I’ll be pleased to see Ray and the world outside of Tonbridge.
